Renew Our Rivers Lake Cleanup

Each day will begin at the Highway 48 boat ramp at 8 a.m. Snacks and lunch will be provided by LWPOA and local merchant contributors. Alabama Power Company awards event T-shirts to all volunteer workers.
Over the years, 1,529 volunteers have collected 251,100 pounds of trash from the shoreline of the lake. The group is looking forward to another highly successful event this year.
Contributions for lunch, snacks, drinks, equipment, prizes and manpower have been made by Randolph County Sheriff's Department, Wedowee Marine, Lakeside Market and Grill, WM Grocery, Small Town Bank, Perry's Foodland, Lake Wedowee Docks, Crystal Walker - Hunter Bend Realty, Georgia/Alabama Rolloffs, Rice Pavilion, Jack's, and Hacienda San Antonio.
Hacienda San Antonio has contributed three gift cards as prizes. Each day a drawing will award one of the cards to a volunteer worker.
Boats are needed, including pontoon and smaller boats. LWPOA provides gas for the boats and cleans the boats on the Friday following the event. To volunteer your boat, contact Marlon Glover at mbglover1@att.net or 770-823-6761.
To work the event, just come to the Highway 48 Boat Ramp on the days of the event. Please arrive before 8 a.m.
